Me & Somebody

or, Sometimes it's no fun to play alone

From my freshman year, a picture of Kevin and I, taken at a dance. I don't really dance, but I enjoy watching people. I was happy on this night; my hair behaved well.

Tucker and I at a wedding. Yes, I did manage to have a jumbo shrimp shoved into my mouth when this picture was taken. But the shrimp were yummy, so it's okay.

Here's one of Alicia II and myself. Alicia II has cool eyebrows. More women should have cool eyebrows. Then again, I think more women should let their leg hair grow. She's Alicia II to me because Alicia I is a girl/woman I dated when I was in high school. There are all sorts of fun stories behind that one. This one was taken at a showing of the Princess Bride here at the local Blacksburg theatre, the Lyric. The only time I've seen it on the big screen, actually.

Here's Jailbait and me at Technicon 21. That would mean it was taken March of 2004. I look like me, I think.

From 06/28/04, a picture of Maria and I, snapped in the bar of the Hyatt by Maria. Maria's a nifty new Rabbit that Russel dragged in who was terribly handy throughout Origins. Her humor was dry enough that I missed it occasionally; I think that just means I need to be around it more so I can get used to it. She's from St. Petersburg, which is a place I've been meaning to get back to, anyway. (One of the funny quirks about having pictures taken of me at Origins is that with the proper series, you can see how slowly my facial hair grows. For example, that was my face after a full five days of growth, since I shaved the Wednesday morning before Origins.)

And now, a couple of years later, it's probably time to link to some new pictures from Origins '06.

Here's Jesse, Rachel, Emily, me, and Katie. Emily had just won second place in the Aquarius Hair Down. (Since the person with the longest hair goes first in Aquarius, there's a hair-measuring competition every year.

Liam and I. I think I look really goofy with that face.

Rachel, me, and Katie, at the Star Wars Exhibit at COSI.

Yvonne Kelly is probably the oldest woman I know personally that I find attractive, giving me hope that I can pretend to have "normal", non-dirty-old-man tastes through my 30's. Here are the two of us catching up before a wedding in the Lab. (Yes, you can even get married with us at Origins.)
